  • Year 3 djembe drumming tuition (2 terms from a professional drumming specialist)
  • Year 3 and 4 Christmas Production
  • Year 5 Shakespeare play
  • Year 6 Summer Production
  • Year 6 Flashmob dance project
  • Choir club of over 80 children, open to the whole school
  • Wilshere-Dacre band, led by local musician Mr Pyne (everybody welcome)
  • Recorder club (everybody welcome)
  • Weekly whole school singing assemblies
  • Art as part of Topic lessons
  • Weekly Music lessons
  • Wide variety of Instrumental lessons available

 

We noticed that Music has been a strength at Wilshere-Dacre for a number of years and we are proud of the way that so many children are involved in regular musical experiences.  We therefore see our children growing into confident, animated and talented performers during their time at Wilshere-Dacre.  Through Artsmark, we are in the process of shining a spotlight on the other areas of the Arts, with special focuses on more Art and Design and Drama as part of the curriculum.
