Factory to Front Door
On Friday 8th November, we had our wow day for our new Geography topic. We used junk modelling to create our own market stalls in the classroom and filled them with produce made from recycling.
We enjoyed using Minecraft to create our own farms. We had to find a water source to place our farm nearby and planted different types of seeds and penned animals such as sheep, cows and goats. We even had beehives filled with bees producing honey!
In the afternoon, we learnt a bit about the importance of Fairtrade. We had to be banana farmers and produce perfectly yellow, ripe bananas for selling. If our bananas weren't good enough, they were thrown away and we lost our deal with the supermarkets!
