Welcome to Wilshere-Dacre Junior Academy

We are very proud to welcome you to Wilshere Dacre Junior Academy. We are a popular junior school with a current roll of 266 children.

Deliver an inclusive school where children love to learn and teachers love to teach.

‘Be extraordinary.’

To value and recognise the unique and distinct character of every member of our school family.

To nurture and support all children in achieving their academic and personal potential.

Develop a team where all staff feel trusted, valued and are supported to reach their full potential.

To foster a strong partnership with parents, the community and other linked schools.

To provide a rich curriculum which stimulates and excites positive models of enquiry, reflection, challenge and innovation.

To promote British and Co-operative values and the attitudes of care, tolerance, trust and respect which prepare children to be citizens in a democratic society.

To develop independent and resilient children through experiences and opportunities to prepare them for their future in the modern world.

Wilshere-Dacre Junior Academy is committed to meeting its public sector duties and acknowledges that we have a statutory duty to:

  • Elimininate discrimination, harassment and victimisation
  • Promote equality of access and opportunity within our school and within our wider community
  • Promote positive attitudes to difference and good relationships between people with different backgrounds, genders, cultures, faiths, abilities and ethnic origins

REAch2 is a large organisation with 58 Primary schools across many parts of England.  To effectively provide high quality support to all REAch2 schools a regional model has been adopted.

Our school is in CLUSTER 4 along with the following schools:

Green Ridge Primary Academy

Garden City Primary Academy

Pemberley Primary Academy

Water Lane Primary Academy

Newhall Primary Academy

We work closely with our linked infants’ school, Strathmore Infant and Nursery School, to make the transition between the two schools as smooth as possible.
